Comment: Have just found your site. Brings me back home to Leicester just looking at it. Must pop up and visit you all sometime when I next come back on furlough in 2003.Have no call sign but took the RSGB exam in the sixties. Have taken up medical electronics for many years now, but still have a vein running through me that loves anything to do with radio communication. Perhaps someone can let me know where you physically are sited in Leicester these days. I used to know it as being up the Groby Road? C

Comment: An interesting page about about G5 Uncle Mike brings back the time when I put out my first CQ call on two metres as G6XSD some time in 1982/3 and back came G5UM/mobile ..he was good I was petrified thinking I had worked a pirate call ! ahh those were the days.

Comment: I would like to enter a memoriam for my Father, Victor Reginald Nelson (G7CGD) who died back in 1990. If anyone spoke to him by radio I would be very pleased to hear from you.
My Grandfather G3IUR - R.F. Nelson was also a radio amateur. Does anyone remember him?

Comment: I was a member of LRS in the late 1960 /early 70's so I am glad to have found your website. Good to see that you have a trophy in memory of Cliff G3PBC. Cliff was one of my heroes when I was starting out in ham radio. Also pleased to see you have been able to preserve the callsigns of Jack Hum G5UM and G2AA.
